Hens meant for Genetic Research in the University mysteriously disappears.

A radio station in Kampala, Uganda known as Capital Fm has reported that a total of thirty-three hens meant for genetic research at Gulu University-Main Campus have vanished without a trace, raising health concerns among experts.

The thirty-three hens according to the report are part of the 56 chickens that were collected from different parts of Uganda for Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) studies aimed at improving indigenous breeds as well as transform and boost chicken productivity in Northern Uganda.

Founded in 2002, Gulu University is one of the public universities in Uganda and has so far enrolled thousands of students.
